MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE MEN

The UNLV Rebels (29-6), winners of the MWC tournament, received a No. 7 seed and defeated No. 10 seed Georgia Tech (20-12) of the ACC 67-63 on Friday in Chicago. They face No. seed in the Midwest regional today.

WESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN

  • Regular-season champion Nevada (29-4), a No. 7 seed in the South Region, defeated 10th-seed Creighton (22-11) 77-71 in overtime in New Orleans, and meets South No. 2 seed Memphis today.

  • Conference-tournament champion New Mexico State (25-9), a No. 13 seed, lost 79-67 in the East Regional to Texas (25-9) of the Big 12.

    MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE WOMEN

  • BYU (23-9), the regular-season MWC champion, received the 11th seed in the Greensboro Region and lost to No. 6 seed Louisville (26-7) 80-54 on Saturday in Los Angeles.

  • TCU (21-10) is the 10th seed in the Dayton Region and will face No. 7 seed Mississippi (21-10) at 10 a.m. today in Hartford, Conn.

  • MWC tournament winner New Mexico (24-8) received the No. 8 seed in the Fresno Region and will meet No. 9 seed Wisconsin-Green Bay (28-3) in the first round at 5 p.m. today in Hartford.

    WESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN

    Boise State (24-8) received the No. 12 seed in the Dallas Region and fell to No. 5 seed George Washington, 76-67, Saturday.

    BIG SKY CONFERENCE WOMEN

    Tournament winner Idaho State (17-13) received the No. 15 seed in the Fresno bracket and lost to No. 2 seed Stanford (28-4) 96-58 on Saturday.

    MID-CONTINENT CONFERENCE WOMEN

  • Tournament champion Oral Roberts (22-10), the No. 15 seed in the Dallas region, lost to No. 2 seed Purdue 63-42 Saturday.

    NAIA WOMEN

    Westminster (22-11) was one of four Frontier Conference teams invited to the NAIA tournament in Jackson, Tenn. The Griffins defeated Point Loma Nazarene, Calif., (24-8) by 53-39 Thursday. On Friday night, the Griffins fell to Southern Nazarene University, 80-63.
