Get ready for rhyme time
A high school dropout I knew,
Really wanted to wear "Cougar Blue."
But to his chagrin
He couldn't get in.
He had not learned to spell B Y U.
Roy Walker, West Jordan
In good old sunny "St. Garge,"
The town where the livin' is large,
The views are so grand,
There's lots of red sand,
And the fallout's at no extra charge.
Janet Hatfield, Riverton
There once was a man named Hinckley
When he smiles his faces gets all crinckly.
He says, "Do your best,
Let God do the rest."
He's ninety-some odd and quite wrinkly.
(in no particular order)
"This is the place!" said Old Brig
As he sat in the back of his rig.
"Drive on" and we'll see
What this valley can be
And we'll celebrate with a shindig!
Renee Stevens, Salt Lake City
There's a hill in the canyon Sardine
Down which folks (in oblivion) careen.
They, too late, comprehend
That a cop's round the bend
Writing tickets for each misdemean.
Jan Randall, Centerville
Our image, it's clear
Is what we hold dear.
So, I assure you I have just one wife!
Den Nordfelt, West Valley City
You can hear the good Mormon choir bellow,
And if you attend
A reunion, my friend
You can have carrot bits in your Jell-O.
