Some people may be genetically programmed for a heart attack. And the genetics of heart disease, as well as new approaches to understanding it, will be the topic of today's Deseret Morning News/Intermountain Healthcare Hotline. From 10 a.m. to noon, John F. Carlquist, co-director of LDS Hospital's Cardiovascular Research Program, and Benjamin D. Horne, director of cardiovascular and genetic epidemiology there, will take phoned-in questions. All calls are confidential. From the Salt Lake area, call 236-6061. Elsewhere, the toll-free number is 1-800-925-8177, but the numbers are only operational during the hotline hours.
