I express my fascination with the Deseret Morning News headline composers. Especially impressive were two March 6 banners: "Army brass in line of fire" and "Extensive germ study finds restrooms get a bum rap." Is this flair with double entendres the result of journalism classes on simultaneous note-taking with both a dexterous right hand and a sinister left? Whatever the answer, readers should be cautious, as thinking too deeply on this might trigger a mental hernia. For me, however, it evokes both a silly grin and a peculiar headache.
