Carolyn Tuft was released from LDS Hospital Monday, exactly three weeks after she was shot by a young gunman at Trolley Square Mall.
Tuft, 44, survived the shooting spree, but her 15-year-old daughter was among five people killed by Sulejman Talovic on Feb. 12.
Tuft's release leaves one person, Stacy Hanson, 53, still in a hospital. Four people were injured that night. Talovic died in a shootout with police.
Tuft and daughter Kirsten Hinckley were shot in a Trolley Square store while shopping for Valentine's Day.
Choking on blood, she said she crawled to Kirsten and expressed her love before the teen died.
Kirsten's funeral is scheduled for Wednesday. Talovic was buried Saturday in Bosnia, his native country.
Tonight, the University of Utah is sponsoring a benefit party for the victims of the Trolley Square tragedy. The event will be held on the east side of the Trolley Square shopping center, beginning at 9 p.m. and going until midnight. The party is free, but donations, which will be given to the families directly affected, are strongly encouraged.
