People with excessively dry eyes or other symptoms that may indicate Sjogren's syndrome are invited to an educational gathering sponsored by the Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Moran Eye Center auditorium, 65 N. Medical Drive, on the University of Utah campus.
The guest speaker is Steve Taylor, CEO of the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation. Ophthalmologist Dr. Majid Moshirfar will be there to answer questions.
Learn about the condition, often marked by painfully dry eyes, dry mouth and other problems. The gathering, which includes a free light breakfast, is sponsored by Allergan. For information or to RSVP, contact Linda Phillips at 801-544-9603.
