PLEASANT GROVE The Liahona Preparatory Academy, 801 N. 300 East, Pleasant Grove, will break ground for its new building today at 1 p.m. at a site just north east of I-15 at approximately 2500 W. 450 South, near the Belle Monet condo subdivision in Pleasant Grove.
The public is invited.
The school of 130 students is expanding to accommodate an additional 100 students next year. The school caters to fifth- through 12th-grade local students as well as distance learners who view DVDs made of the classroom lectures.
Liahona Academy is a private, Mormon-oriented school, started 11 years ago by Brent and Kolleen DeGraff, who continue to teach and run the school together.
