In October 2006, Adam Aircraft celebrated the groundbreaking of its new jet manufacturing and assembly facility at the Kemp Ogden Gateway Center, 4282 S. 1650 West in Ogden. The facility eventually will cover 96,000 square feet and will employ 300 to 400 people by 2009 or 2010, according to company officials.
Right now, the Ogden facility's 50 employees:
Work on final assembly of A500 aircraft.
Complete various carbon bonding operations.
Assemble instrument panels and avionics.
Have sub-assembly operations including flight controls, avionics and sheet metal.
