PROVO — Language-translation software company Lingotek said Wednesday it has secured $1.6 million in second-round financing, led by $1 million from Lindon-based Canopy Ventures.
Previous investors, including New Mexico-based Flywheel Ventures, also participated.
Lingotek had a first funding round totaling $1 million in 2006. It said it will use the most recent funding to expand its sales and marketing efforts and increase its presence in the language translation market.

A better hiring outlook and lower gas prices pushed a measure of U.S. consumer confidence to its highest level in four and a half years.
