Shakespeare events set

Murray Cultural Arts will sponsor a Shakespeare festival in connection with the Utah Performing Arts Tour March 15 and 16.

To prepare for the festival, a free teacher workshop for grades 6-12 will be offered Friday, March 9, from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Murray High School Little Theater, 5440 S. State, Murray. Michael Bahr, Utah Shakespearean Festival education coordinator, will present the workshops "Taking the Work Out of Play" or "Oh What Fools These Mortals Be" to help teachers utilize theater and the natural sense of play as a teaching tool.

Teachers in any school district are invited to attend the free workshop, but they must register by calling 264-2638 or by e-mailing mkirk@murray.utah.gov.
