The Jazz have some personnel decisions to make in the next day or two or so.

By Thursday, they must decide whether to waive rookie forward Louis Amundson — who has appeared in just one game for Utah, but whose second 10-day contract comes to a close Wednesday — or to re-sign him for the rest of the season.

Soon, too, they must decide whether to waive veteran forward Alan Henderson, who was acquired in last Thursday's deadline-day trade with Philadelphia, or allow him to join the roster.

Henderson's reporting date was extended to Wednesday, and he apparently wants to come. The Jazz, though, originally planned to waive him when the trade was made — and don't seem convinced they should use a roster spot on the 34-year-old.

Decisions could come as soon as today.

For now, though, the Jazz simply are saying they're still not certain what they'll do.

"We'll wait until we have to do it," basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor said after Monday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

SLOAN FUNDRAISER: Tickets are on sale now for the first-ever "Mardi Gras in the Mountains," a fundraiser benefiting The Bobbye and Jerry Sloan Hand-in-Hand Foundation — with profits earmarked for The Humane Society of Utah and Utah Wildlife Rehabilitation.

Cost is $125 per person, or $1000 for a table of 10.

MISC.: Usual Jazz starting point guard Deron Williams had a precautionary MRI exam performed Sunday on his right wrist — but the reason he did not play Monday was his strained left groin, an injury sustained earlier this month and aggravated Saturday against Boston ... The wrist, apparently, is OK ... Laker absentees included forward Luke Walton and big man Kwame Brown, both out with sprained ankles, and big man Vladimir Radmanovic, who separated his right shoulder while snowboarding in Park City during the recent NBA All-Star break ... Monday's sellout was the Jazz's 19th in 29 home games this season.
