MURRAY The Murray Education Foundation has announced the recipients of the fourth annual Pinnacle Awards, honoring educators, classified employees and volunteers for outstanding efforts of "excellence in education." Honorees receive a $500 cash award and will be recognized at a dinner at 6 p.m. March 8 at Murray High School.
Recipients are: Cindy Durante, fifth-grade teacher at Longview Elementary
Alan Gatenby, auto shop/CTE, Murray High
Pam Hansen, second-grade teacher, Viewmont Elementary
Shauna Maughan, first- and second-grade gifted and talented, McMillan Elementary
Ann Renz, sixth-grade teacher, Horizon Elementary
Mike Mikesell, Parkside Elementary School custodian
Corey Peterson, Grant Elementary parent volunteer and "Meet the Masters" art program coordinator
