An exhibit featuring local fiber artists opens March 2 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City.
The Utah Fiber Celebration will highlight hand-crafted, decorative and functional art such as weaving, spinning, surface design and baskets.
A free opening reception with the artists, weaving demonstrations, music and refreshments will run from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening.
Local fiber artist Robyn Spady will present a free public lecture and a hands-on activity at 7 p.m. March 22.
The exhibit runs through April 11 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City.
