Plenty of wintertime events for visitors at Tracy Aviary

Tracy Aviary has an indoor venue where guests can warm up, escape the cold and learn about birds, environment and conservation.

Through Feb. 28, stop by Tracy Aviary and purchase a Tweety for your Sweetie. Adopt a flock of flamingos or a loving pair of sandhill cranes. The aviary will mail your valentine a photo, certificate of adoption and visitor passes to Tracy Aviary.

Feb. 23-25: Warm up indoors with Colorful Birds of the Tropics at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Discover the adaptations that make life for the bird in the tropics. Free with admission.

Feb. 26: Polar Monday. Take advantage of the last free admission Monday.

March 2-4: 9-11, Warm up indoors with mice on the menu at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cats aren't the only predators with an eye for mice. Free with admission.

March 3: Photo opportunity: Grab your camera and celebrate the wonders of nature. Tracy Aviary offers photographers of all skill levels the opportunity to take photos of birds at 2 p.m. See them in their natural character and take home great pictures and memories. Pre-registration and additional fee required.

March 16-18: Warm up indoors with the Clean Up Crew at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Learn about the importance of scavengers in the environment. Free with admission.
