The Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 410 Campus Center Drive, will host a lecture by artist Brian Kershisnik on Saturday at 2 p.m. Kershisnik will discuss his art, technique and motivation. The event is free and open to the public.

The Utah Watercolor Society announces a call for entries for its spring juried open show. Slides and entry forms are due by Tuesday, March 6, at the society's monthly meeting at the Wheeler Historic Farm. The exhibit is open to Utah artists working in water-based media on paper surface. The Utah Arts Council announces a visual arts seminar, "Entering Juried Competitions," to be held in the Zephyr Room, Rio Grande Depot (300 S. 455 West) Tuesday evening from 6-8. Guest presenters are Matthew Choberka, assistant professor of art, Weber State University; Jameson Weston, art director of Utah's Hogle Zoo; and Natalie Petersen, associate director of Springville Museum of Art. • The Eccles Community Art Center's Conversations in Art series with art historian Gladys Muren will look at confiscated, stolen, destroyed and damaged art and its place in history. The presentation, "Lost and Found Art," will address the rediscoveries and restitution of Jewish art. The event will take place Tuesday evening at 7 at the center (2580 Jefferson Ave.). The Utah Arts Council announces a call for public art submissions for the UVSC Digital Learning Center. All artists interested in creating a site-specific work may submit a proposal. The budget is $313,000. The deadline for artists to submit materials is April 25. For more information call 533-3585.
