The International Quilt Association has selected "A Midwinter Night's Dream," a quilt by local artist Jinny Lee Snow, as a finalist entry to be exhibited at the 2007 International Quilt Festival, "Celebrate Spring." Snow's quilt is one of 46 finalists.

Utah State University's Visiting Artist Program will feature ceramic artist Richard Notkin on campus Tuesday-Thursday. Notkin will give a lecture Tuesday evening at 7 in the Eccles Conference Center, Room 216. On Wednesday and Thursday, Nokin will present workshops in FAV 121, covering diverse technical and aesthetic approaches to ceramics. All events are free and open to the public. The Salt Lake City Arts Council announces that applications are now available for Utah visual artists who would like to be considered for exhibition in the Art Barn's Finch Lane Gallery from November 2007 through October 2008.
