Thar she goes!

Demolition of the Crossroads Plaza parking structure, seen from West Temple, continues Thursday. Demolition began shortly after the downtown structure was closed Jan. 3. The mall will be the next to come down. Eventually, much of the Crossroads block, as well as the ZCMI Center and surrounding buildings, will be replaced by City Creek Center, a 20-acre retail-office-residential project being built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The center is expected to open in mid-2011.
