The Board of Regents Thursday announced the appointment of a 22-member search committee that will assist them in selecting a new president for Snow College.
Last October, Snow College President Michael Benson was named as the new president of Southern Utah University, and Ric Wheeler has been acting in his place as interim president.
The committee is made up of several regents and Snow College Board of Trustees members, as well as institutional and community representatives, including students. They will establish a candidate pool and recommend finalists to the Board of Regents.
Under regents' policy, the names of finalists will be released to the public prior to a series of private interviews.
A new president should be selected before the 2007-08 academic year begins.
