BYU plans Passover services
Tickets go on sale Feb. 15 in Room 271 of the Joseph Smith Building. Admission will be $25 for the public and $17 for BYU students, faculty and staff.
The services will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in Room 3228 of the WSC, with the exception of the April 6 service, which will take place in Rooms 3280-3290 of the WSC. The Seder service will include unleavened bread, the bitter herbs and other traditions of Passover, accompanied by a commentary from Victor L. Ludlow , BYU professor of ancient scripture, who conducts the annual event.
In addition, Ludlow will host a Passover Seder Service workshop March 10 for those interested in learning more about the Passover or conducting services of their own. The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. in Room 3228 of the WSC, and admission will be $10, which includes lunch.
BYU holds the Passover services to enrich the community's appreciation of the Old Testament and the modern Jewish celebration honoring the flight of Israel from Egypt.
