A local media company will be producing a new documentary on obesity, to be directed by former Brigham Young University student Steven Greenstreet.

The film, which has not yet been named, will be produced by ShineBox Media Productions, and will provide an overview of the "politics, social effects and problems associated with the rising global epidemic of obesity," according to the company.

Greenstreet also directed an award-winning documentary — "This Divided State" — which detailed the events surrounding a visit from Michael Moore to Utah Valley State College.

The film is currently in the production stage and is slated to be released in 2007. More information on the film can be found on the company's Web site, www.shineboxmp.com.
