Mountain Medical Physician Specialists, a partnership of vascular professionals along the Wasatch Front, will offer a series of free varicose-vein screenings. The first will be offered Friday at the Mountain Medical Vein Center, 5323 S. Woodrow Street in Murray.
Salt Lake Valley residents will be provided with a non-threatening environment to determine if they have varicose veins and an opportunity to discuss the best options for treatment.
Evaluation includes a consultation with a board-certified physician and a limited ultrasound. A more-comprehensive ultrasound may be necessary prior to most treatments.
Space is limited, so schedule an appointment by calling the Mountain Medical's vein help line at 1-888-VEIN HELP (1-888-834-6435).
While varicose veins are a concern to many people, most don't fully understand that advances in medical technology have made treatment simple and easy with a faster return to normal activities.
