Third District Judge Judith Atherton on Wednesday set March 21 for a jury trial for Catherine Elin Gregerson on two misdemeanor charges.
Gregerson, 23, is the wife of convicted murderer Craig Roger Gregerson, who is in prison for kidnapping and killing 5-year-old Destiny Norton on July 16, 2006.
Catherine Gregerson is charged with domestic violence in the presence of a child and criminal mischief, both class A misdemeanors, in connection with an argument with her husband on April 27, 2006.
Her attorney, Delano Findlay, said he expects his client will be acquitted. He said Catherine Gregerson, who was separated from her husband at the time, had taken their baby to visit Craig Gregerson, and he seized the child, ran indoors and threatened to never let her see the baby again. Findlay said Catherine Gregerson kicked a screen door to get the baby back.
