JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has become the latest Western ski resort to invest in renewable energy.

The resort will buy enough power produced from wind, biomass, hydroelectric and geothermal sources to equal the amount of power the resort uses.

The amount of clean energy purchased through Renewable Choice Energy of Boulder, Colo., is equivalent to power from conventional sources that produce about 37.5 million pounds of carbon dioxide.

"(Ten years ago) I never wrote the words 'green' and 'company' in the same sentence," said resort spokeswoman Anna Olson. "But the reality is it's good for business."
