The Utah Department of Transportation is holding an open house tonight to talk about its selection of 5800 West as its "preferred" route for the Mountain View Corridor in Salt Lake County.
About 179 homes, 20 businesses and 11 historic properties will be impacted by the road if it is built at 5800 West. UDOT officials will be available tonight to talk about property-acquisition issues and discuss why the agency picked 5800 West as its preferred route.
The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hunter High School, 4200 South 5600 West, in West Valley City.
