Petersen Medical said Tuesday that its president and chief executive officer, Tom Bradley, has been nominated as president of a recently formed state association called Utah Medical Equipment Dealers.

Petersen Medical and Alpine Home Medical Equipment formed the association in late September in part to advance the home medical equipment industry through education and shared standards.

Petersen provides home medical equipment and in-home professional services.

Utah has more than 30 HME dealers. Currently, Bradley and UTMED are focusing on responding to rule modifications made by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and new legislation passed by Congress, including the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005.
