Photographs by Edward Burtynsky at the Julie Nester Gallery are part of "Manufactured Landscapes."

The Julie Nester Gallery, 1755 Bonanza Drive, Park City, will display "Manufactured Landscapes," an exhibition of large format photographs by Edward Burtynsky, Thursday through Jan. 28. The show coincides with the Sundance Film Festival's screening of the documentary "Manufactured Landscapes," which treats the life and work of the photographer. The Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Ave., Ogden, will hold another in its series, Conversations in Art, with local photographer Jon R. Williams, Wednesday evening at 7. Williams will review the work of five "Great Photographers of the 20th Century": Alfred Steglizt, Edward Weston, Tina Modotti, Dorothea Lange, Paul Strand, Margaret Burke-White and Robert Doisneau. Brewvies Cinema Pub, 677 S. 200 West, will host a lecture and photography exhibit, "Land of the Thunder Dragon: Cultural Trekking in the Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan," by wildlife and landscape photographer Howie Garber. Southern Utah University Department of Art and Design will feature Lucas Hoyt in this Thursday's "Art Insights" lecture at 7 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building, Room 101. Hoyt will present a lecture, "The Life and Word of a Ceramicist," based on his work and career in ceramics. The free event is open to the public.
