A look at how the BCS Championship Game played out for former Utes:
URBAN MEYER
Florida head coach
Coached the Gators (13-1) to the national championship just two years after leaving Utah. Meyer is now 61-12 overall with four postseason victories in six seasons as a head coach. He's just the fifth coach in history to win a national title in his second season with a program.
DAN MULLEN
Florida offensive coordinator
Directed an offense that scored the most points on Ohio State this season. Florida, which converted on its first five third-down situations, scored five TDs and two field goals.
RYAN SMITH
Florida starting cornerback
Made two solo tackles and broke up a pass. Part of a Florida defense that limited Ohio State to just 82 yards of total offense and eight first downs.
OTHERS
BILLY GONZALES, Florida wide receivers coach: Oversaw a receiving corps that caught 26 passes for 214 yards.
CHUCK HEATER, Florida cornerbacks coach: One of his corners, Reggie Lewis, had the game's only interception.
JOHN HEVESY, Florida offensive line coach: Directed a unit that gave up just one sack.
BUTCH ROWLEY, Florida special teams player: Was the holder for kicker Chris Hetland. Also saw action on punt return team.
