Real deal is a waste of taxes

I hope it is slowly becoming more and more obvious to Salt Lake County leaders and taxpayers that the Real Salt Lake stadium deal is nothing but a waste of taxpayer dollars. We have Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan and team president Dave Checketts throwing temper tantrums around but no actual numbers that add up.

You remember that Goldman Sachs investment money that Mr. Checketts promised was already lined up? Well, it isn't unless Real gets its free taxpayer money first. And, oh by the way, Goldman Sachs gets half ownership in the team for its investment.

What do the taxpayers get? A hope and a prayer of increased tax revenue for the county. What a joke. Let's all take notice as to which politicians sign on to give your money away. Then it will be time to send them on their way — out of the halls of power.
