Davis show features Utah artists

The Bountiful/Davis Art Center presents the Seventh Utah Illustrators Invitational featuring some of the best contemporary artists working illustrators in Utah. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Jan. 12 from 7-9 p.m. at the BDAC, 745 S. Main St., Bountiful. Attendees can meet the illustrators, taste hors d'oeuvres and enjoy to live music.

The participating illustrators are Rob Colvin, Steve Kropp, Paul Mann, Dilleen Marsh, Robert McKay, Sherry Meidell, Greg Newbold, Anne Marie Oborn, Mark Robison, Randall Royter, Scott Snow, Perry Stewart and Jerry Thompson

Additionally, the Patrons Gallery at BDAC will exhibit the works of two Bountiful artists: Justin M. Hayward and Lester B. Lee. Justin Hayward received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from BYU and his Master of Fine Arts from New York Academy of Art. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and teaches oil painting at BDAC. His works are in oil.

Lester B. Lee is a well-known artist and art teacher in Bountiful. He teaches art at Woods Cross High School and recently received the Huntsman Award of Excellence in Education. He has a BFA from Utah State University and a MA from BYU. He has exhibited and taught at BDAC. He works mainly in oil and watercolor.

Admission to the opening reception is free. BDAC hours are Monday, 5-9 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 2-5 p.m. For more information, contact the Bountiful/Davis Art Center at 292-0367 or visit www.bdac.org.
