Three benefit theater performances raised an estimated $30,000 for the Ceran family.

Ticket sales for two sold-out Friday performances of "See How They Run" at the Hale Centre Theatre generated $24,600 for the family. Actors also passed a hat through audiences to raise another $1,700, theater executive producer Sally Dietlein said.

Proceeds from a third benefit performance Saturday afternoon, as well as donations made during two shows Saturday night, likely will boost that figure to more than $30,000, Dietlein said. Dietlein said the Hale Centre Theatre already has presented a $17,000 check to the family from early proceeds.
