TEMPE, Ariz. The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Cougar safety Aaron Francisco to a four-year contract extension. The move, announced Saturday, will keep him under contract through the 2010 season.
Francisco initially signed with Arizona in 2005 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of BYU.
He has appeared in all 15 games this season, including two starts, with 29 tackles and two interceptions on defense. He also leads the Cardinals with 22 special teams tackles. He was named a Pro Bowl alternate as a special teams player.
Francisco played in 11 games as a rookie, mostly on special teams.
Financial terms of the contract weren't disclosed.
