BREWER STRUGGLES: After helping the Jazz rally to win Wednesday at Atlanta, rookie Ronnie Brewer was one of several players Sloan tried Friday at shooting guard.

This time, however, there were no rave reviews.

"Our young guys think one game's gonna hold them for a week or two," Sloan said after watching Brewer commit a turnover and miss his only shot in six scoreless, steal-less minutes. "I don't have time to wait for them to get ready to play the next game, especially when I see them out on the floor not working hard enough to get ready to play.

"Those guys have got to worry about their future down the line — how they approach it, how they get ready to play."
