WHAT THEY DID: Utah coach Kyle Whittingham joined seniors Tavo Tupola and Eric Weddle at a morning press conference at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The Armed Forces Bowl kickoff luncheon followed with ESPN's Lee Corso as the main speaker. A pep rally was held later in the day at Sundance Square near the team's downtown hotel.
WHAT THEY SAID: "We've had a lot of guys come watch practice. We're recruiting a bunch of athletes in this state, and we have a bunch of guys on our roster from the state. It's all a positive situation in that respect." Whittingham on Utah's bowl trip to Texas.
WHAT'S NEXT: Utah faces Tulsa in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl tonight at TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (MST). The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
