TO DO

• Schedule tougher non-league opponents to impress NCAA selection committee enough to seed Utah for tournament.

• Schedule top non-league opponent or two late in season to prepare team for tougher tournament play.

• Recruit a backup, walk-on setter and attempt to find a scholarshipped big outside hitter.

GOING

Sophomore pre-season all-MWC setter Shannon Krug, who became a backup to freshman Sydney Anderson and will transfer to another school to find more playing time

COMING BACK

The rest of the team, including MWC Player of the Year Airial Salvo, MWC Setter of the Year/Freshman of the Year Sydney Anderson and all-MWC teammates Lori Baird, Emillie Toone and Whitney Webb. Salvo is also all-conference, and Toone is No. 2 NCAA blocker at 1.93 a game.

NEWCOMERS

• Prep signees Jennifer Lanting (Central Valley Christian HS, Corcoran, Calif.), 6-foot-6 outside/right-side hitter whose size could afford her some early playing time, and Karolina Bartkowiak (West Aurora HS, Aurora, Ill.), 6-2 middle blocker, strong and athletic, who came to the U.S. from Poland.

• Expecting two walk-ons, perhaps a third with Krug's departure.
