GRADE A-

Offense

Overcoming a shaky first quarter with six dropped passes, John Beck, Jonny Harline and Curtis Brown lifted BYU's execution above and beyond Oregon's top-ranked Pac-10 defense and made it look easy.

GRADE A

Defense

The front seven were spectacular with four sacks, including a takedown of Oregon's QB on the first play of the game, a flea flicker. Coverage in the secondary proved solid despite injuries.

GRADE B

Special teams

Aside from giving up long chunks of yards on kickoff returns to Oregon, this was not a huge problem for the Cougars as Jared McLaughlin got the Cougars on the board first with a chip-shot field goal.

GRADE A-

Overall

Wasn't always pretty, but it made it 10 wins in a row. When your program hasn't won a bowl game in 10 years, a victory over a Pac-10 opponent, a conference you've struggled against, is a sweet cap to an outstanding season and 11-2 record.
