TALLON ROBERTSON

Pleasant Grove Vikings

Sport: Basketball

Class: Senior

Position: Forward

The numbers: When fellow Region 4 coaches talk about impressive and valuable players, Robertson's name always comes up. He's one of the more aggressive inside players in the valley and a player the Vikings go to when they need a basket. Opponents struggle to guard him in the paint, struggle to keep him off the boards and can do nothing to slow his hustle. Robertson scored 14 in Pleasant Grove's win over West Jordan, 28 in a victory over Riverton and 20 in a win over Payson.

HALEY HOLMSTEAD

American Fork Cavemen

Sport: Basketball

Class: Sophomore

Position: Guard

The numbers: This sensational sophomore has scored 19 points each in two of her past three games. She gives the Cavemen experience and plenty of composure along with the talent to lead the team to an early 8-1 record against some tough competition. She has a great perimeter shot and knows how to knock down buckets at key times. The Cavemen are starting to turn some heads this season after a disappointing year last year, thanks in part to Holmstead's play.
