MEN'S BASKETBALL: Montana State's Nick Dissly and Weber State's Dan Henry were named Big Sky Conference men's basketball co-players of the week. Henry, a 6-foot-5 senior forward from Orem, scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds with one assist in Weber State's 68-51 home victory over the Portland Pilots of the West Coast Conference on Saturday.
WOMEN'S TRACK: Weber State's women's track and field team has signed three athletes to national letters of intent. High school seniors La Tia Hatcher, Gloria Roberts, and Lindsey Spencer have all signed with the Wildcats and will join WSU for the 2007-08 season. Hatcher, a sprinter, is from Western High School in Las Vegas. Roberts also comes from Las Vegas where she attends Cheyenne High School. Spencer, from Fremont High School, finished second in the discus at the 2006 Utah State Championships and was sixth in the shot put.

GYMNASTICS: Southern Utah University has signed two gymnasts to National Letters of Intent for the 2007-08 academic year, SUU head gymnastics coach Scott Bauman has announced. Signing to join the Thunderbirds next fall were Jenna Vogt of Egan, Minn., and Shannon Coughlin, of Anchorage, Alaska. Vogt competed for coach Bryan Hough at TAGS Gymnastics. A 3-time national qualifier she has two top-30 national all-around finishes. Coughlin, who competed for coach Dan Alch, at Arctic Gymnastics Center in Anchorage, finished second on beam at her 2006 Level 10 regional meet and finished third in the all-around that year.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: After nearly a month away from home, Utah State's women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum today, hosting Portland in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
Dixie State
MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Dixie State College Men's Basketball moved to 9-6 on the year by defeating Texas A&M International University 67-51 in a non-league contest Monday night. The Rebels led at the half 36-22 and never looked. Sophomore Ryan Sanchez of Ogden led Dixie State with 15 points and a season-high 12 rebounds.
Dixie State will take on No. 5-ranked Seattle Pacific University today at 7:30 p.m.
