Perfume
Aromascope.com: This site spotlights interesting and eclectic perfumes from small and large brands, such as L'Artisan Parfumeur and Hermes. Its descriptions can be a bit flowery editor Ina Prouty, a former office manager, describes Tom Ford's Black Orchid as "bitterly dirty and edibly creamy" but the notes are thorough and entertaining. The site's link to perfume guides that describe the difference between "floral" and "fresh" scents, for instance, is a helpful resource for perfume novices. Most product reviews link to small boutiques that sell the scents.

Watches
Watchreport.com: If you can't decide between a watch with CallerID or one with GPS, this site can help. Christian Cantrell, a software engineer and watch enthusiast, meticulously reviews the latest men's watches with an eye for details like how they sit on your wrist, the feel of the buttons and if you really need multiple time-zone access. The site can go awhile without being updated. Mr. Cantrell tries to stick to watches on the market and in a reasonable price range like the $95 Fossil Twist series but sometimes covers watches that are available only in Asia.
