I have to disagree with Scott D. Pierce and his portrayal of Glenn Beck as a religious bigot (Dec. 14). I watched Beck's interview with Congressman-elect Keith Ellison. Beck's attitude was, "This is how I feel about you as a Muslim, please help me understand how I can feel otherwise." Such conversations are an important step in resolving differences and misunderstandings.
Simply substituting the word "Mormon" for the word "Muslim" just doesn't pass muster. Many Muslims openly claim, in the name of their religion, that Jews (and other religions) are "dogs and pigs." The LDS Church believes that "all men have the privilege to worship how, when, and what they may" (11th Article of Faith). Quite the difference.
