Amber Bosco

Provo Bulldogs

Sport: Basketball

Class: Senior

Position: Guard

The numbers: Called by her coach the team's all-everything player, Bosco has been living up to the billing. In guiding the Bulldogs to a 4-1 early record, Bosco has been her team's leading scorer in three of the five games. The 5-foot-10 guard popped in 18 in a win over Pleasant Grove, came back with 23 in a victory over Olympus, chipped in nine in knocking off American Fork and tallied 10 in topping Spanish Fork. She also scored 18 in a loss to Murray. Bosco also starred on Provo's soccer team, scoring 10 goals in 16 games for the Bulldogs this season. She was honorable mention All-State in basketball last season.

Mitch Sanderson

Pleasant Grove Vikings

Sport: Wrestling

Class: Senior

Weight class: 171 pounds

The numbers: Having a two-time state wrestling champion on their football team was contagious on the never-quit Vikings this past season as they captured the Region 4 crown. Sanderson has now returned his toughness to the mat where he's hoping to grab his third state individual title. He's off to a good start and went undefeated in winning the 171-pound division of the Intermountain Wrestling Duals last weekend at Wasatch High. On the football field this past season Sanderson rushed for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was an All-Utah Valley first-team selection, a Region 4 first-team selection and named to the All-State second team.
