Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan acknowledges the crowd Monday night after winning his 1,000th career game as a head coach. The victory puts Sloan in elite company: He is one of only five coaches in NBA history to record at least 1,000 victories. The Jazz led by 12 at halftime and cruised to a 101-79 thumping of Western Conference rivals the Dallas Mavericks at EnergySolutions Arena.
