Class 5A MVP

Jordan Pendleton

Bingham, 6-2, 200, Sr.

This three-year starter is one of the best athletes in the state. He hauled in 40 catches for 699 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 89 tackles, five interceptions and eight pass deflections. He also recovered the onside kick that sealed Bingham's first football state championship in 60 years.

Class 4A MVP

Jackson Owen

Timpview, 5-10, 185, Sr.

Owen carried the ball 274 times for 1,740 yards and 18 touchdowns. In addition to his 129 rushing yards per game, he added 16 receptions for 172 yards and one touchdown. In the state championship game, Owen rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns.

Class 3A MVP

Garland Munns

Bear River, 6-0, 198, Sr.

Named after his hometown of Garland, Munns did just about everything in leading Bear River to a state title. He carried the ball 147 times for 1,139 yards and 12 TDs. He also added 116 receiving yards. Defensively, he was second on the team with 58 tackles in addition to three sacks and an interception.

Class 2A MVP

Tranner Sharpe

San Juan, 6-1, 280, Sr.

This senior two-way starter was instrumental in leading the Broncos to the 2A state title. Defensively, he averaged 11 tackles per game at his defensive tackle position. Offensively, he started at guard. Sharpe was a "great, great team leader," according to head coach Monty Lee.

Class 1A MVP

Weston Despain

Duchesne, 6-2, 180, Sr.

Despain was absolutely dominant in leading Duchense to the 1A title and a 13-0 record. Offensively, he rushed for 1,220 yards and 14 touchdowns, in addition to a pair of receiving TDs. Defensively, he led the Eagles with 131.5 total tackles and added two interceptions.
