The "Christmas Wishes" gift drive that brings Christmas cheer to more than 500 inner-city students at Salt Lake's Lincoln Elementary School has kicked off at Utah Central Credit Union branches across the Salt Lake Valley.
People can pick up a handmade ornament at any UCCU branch, purchase the child's requested gifts and return them to a credit union branch by Dec. 8. Cash donations are also accepted.
Credit union branches are at: 25 E. 1700 South, Salt Lake City; 13218 S. 5600 West, Herriman; 5338 S. College Drive, Murray; 4090 S. 4800 West, West Valley City; and 2089 W. 9000 South, West Jordan.
