OREM — The Utah Department of Transportation will host an open house on Wednesday and Thursday for the public to discuss proposed improvements to state Route 68, also known as Redwood Road, from Saratoga Springs through Bluffdale.

UDOT will gather comments from the public, as well as answer questions about the potential impacts of the project. An environmental assessment is currently being conducted by UDOT to study how the road can be improved and what impact those improvements will have. The study is expected to be completed in 2007, according to UDOT.

The meetings will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Bluffdale Elementary School, 14323 S. 2700 West, Bluffdale, and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Saratoga Shores Elementary School, 1415 South Parkside Drive, Saratoga Springs.

More information on the project study can be found on UDOT's Web site, at www.udot.utah.gov/SR-68south.
