The Utah Watercolor Society has its monthly meeting on Tuesday evening at 7 at the Wheeler Historic Farm, 6750 S. 900 East. The Salt Lake Art Design Board announces an opportunity for artists to submit proposals for public. This project solicits proposals for artist-designed benches to be located on the sidewalks of the Sugar House business district. The budget for the commission is $40,000. BYU Museum of Art, North Campus Drive, Provo, will have its annual Christmas celebration, "An American Christmas," on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. The celebration will feature a variety of holiday activities, including making Christmas cards for American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, a magic show, dramatized story time, musical performances, Christmas treats and a visit from Santa.
