LINDON — Lindon residents are invited to a Dec. 5 open house about the telecommunications system called UTOPIA. The meeting starts at 6 p.m.

UTOPIA (Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency) is a statewide project to wire communities for high-speed Internet, phone and video connections.

Representatives from UTOPIA, as well as service providers, will be at the Lindon City Center, 100 N. State, to answer any questions about the service, which will soon be available to Lindon.

The meeting will take place before the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
