I was very disappointed in your article regarding Christopher Heimerdinger (Nov. 21). By way of disclaimer, I do not know Mr. Heimerdinger and have never read his works or purchased his books. But in your very slanted article (which did not list a byline), you state that Heimerdinger was originally charged with domestic violence in the presence of children but was found not guilty. Thus, he is innocent of the charges. However, you then quote from the police report as if the charges were true.
Your article served no purpose other than to further malign a man who undoubtedly has suffered much for his errors. I find it unusual that you would print such an extensive article on a person who was only fined $300 and got no jail time. There are hundreds of persons weekly who receive more extensive punishment, and we do not see their pictures in the paper.
