WinterFest 2006 kicks off Monday at 5:30 p.m. with the "Lights-on Ceremony" at 425 W. Center. The event ends with the flip of a switch to turn on more than 500,000 lights in trees and on buildings and decorations in Provo's Historic Downtown district.
Ten displays in the "Downtown Candy Windows" contest will be unveiled. The candy windows will be in stores from 348 W. Center to 16 W. Center.
