PROVO Flu shots will again be available through the Utah County Health Department beginning Monday.
The department ran out of the shots earlier this month.
County health officials stressed that it is not too late to get a flu shot, as flu activity has been mild to this point and flu outbreaks usually peak in January.
To encourage people to get the shot, the health department has lowered the cost to $20 for anyone who pays at the time of receiving the shot. The health department accepts cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard.
The department also accepts the following insurance plans: Altius, CHIP, Medicare, Medicaid, PEHP, Select Health and United Health Care.
Shots are available at the Utah County Health Department offices at 151 S. University Ave., Provo.
The immunization clinic is open most weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is open late on Wednesdays, until 7 p.m., and opens at 9 a.m. on Thursdays.
Shots will also be available at various satellite clinics throughout the county. For more information, call 851-2222 or go to www.utahcountyhealth.org.
