UTAH 17, AIR FORCE 14

Player of the game

Eric Weddle — The defensive standout ran for a game-high 73 yards and two TDs on 12 carries to go along with eight solo tackles.

Play of the game

On first-and-10 early in the fourth quarter, the Utes answer a game-tying touchdown drive by Air Force with a 42-yard pass from Brett Ratliff to Freddie Brown, setting up first-and-goal at the 4-yard line. Eric Weddle takes the ball in on the next play to once again give the Utes the lead.

Key call

On third-and-four, quarterback Brett Ratliff dumps the ball off to an open Darryl Poston, who is given forward progress and a first down. The spot of the ball is reviewed and upheld, keeping Utah from having to attempt a long field goal. Four plays later, Louie Sakoda kicks the game-winner.
